Lunar Magic

It takes our Moon about 29.5 days to complete one entire cycle of phases (from New Moon to New Moon). The moon phases in chronological order : New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter, Waning Crescent (then the cycle begins again with the New Moon). Moon Water

Intentionally charge water with the moon’s energies for your spiritual practice with any moon phase (please keep in mind that each moon phase brings specific energies to utilize, timing is everything).

HOW TO MAKE MOON WATER

First you place your clean fresh water into a vessel (I prefer a glass jar with a lid). Then allow the container to be placed in a area that will let the water absorb the energies of the moon to charge overnight. Like an open space outside or a window sill. Bring the container inside or off the wind sill just before sunrise. Feel free to place crystals & herbs besides your vessel as it charges to amplify/enhance or alter the moon water to your preference.

USES FOR MOON WATER

  • Plants - water your plants for nourishment or as an offering

  • Crystals - use to purify or infuse with your crystals (remember not all crystals are water safe)

  • Beauty - use it for glamour rituals and spells

  • Cleanse - wash your hands before rituals, cleanse your space & tools

  • Drink it - to charge & cleanse yourself, enhance intuition & channeling

  • Bath - add to your bath water to infuse healing & purification

  • Potions - add to potions especially related to intuition & love

  • Scrying - fill a bowl or cauldron with it and scry

Drawing Down the Moon

Intentionally connect with the Full Moon & absorb/channel the energies into your physical vessel. This can be done alone or with a group. This is great to do before any psychic, channeling, divination, or spirit work (I do NOT claim credit for the incantation but I have used it for years) Here is an incantation for drawing down the moon :

“Mother Goddess lend me your light,

Give me your power on this faithful full moon night,

I invoke you into my being & soul,

fill up my vessel & make me feel whole.

I stand before you in awe & in love,

I cherish the gifts you give from above,

I ask you tonight to show unto me,

My mother, my goddess, so mote it be !”
